What this is

A search tool over 74,018 technical claims about running, configuring, scripting and modifying EverQuest emulator servers. Each claim was distilled from a single source document, links back to it, and carries the passage it came from.

Where it comes from

The forums are eqemulator.org. The Discord material comes from the archive of the developer Discord retired in September 2025. The code is EQEmu/Server; the docs are eqemu-docs-v2.

How to read a result

The coloured badge is the kind of source, and it matters more than it looks. Docs and GitHub describe what the code actually does. Forum threads are considered answers, but the archive runs back to 2002 and much of it describes builds that no longer exist. Discord is chat: it contains guesses, questions nobody answered, and advice a later message corrected. Weight it accordingly.

The date matters for the same reason. The corpus spans 2002 to 2026 and EQEmu changed enormously across that span. Dates before 2018 are dimmed as a reminder, not a judgement.

Confidence is the extractor's assessment of how firmly the source stated the claim, not a verdict on whether it is true.

Attribution

Every claim links to its source, and the passage behind it is shown in place so you can judge the original rather than take a distillation on faith. This is an index of a community's work, not a replacement for it.

API

/api/search?q=... returns the same results as JSON. Parameters: q, topic, source_type, confidence, year_from, year_to, page, per_page, sort, and excerpts=0 to omit passages.
